KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (AP) ? After the toughest round since the PGA Championship switched to stroke play, players returned to the course Saturday morning amid a hint of calmer conditions.
Flags were still flapping in the wind, but it was warm and clear at Kiawah Island when the third round began. Tiger Woods tees off in the afternoon and will be paired with Vijay Singh. They're tied for the lead with Carl Pettersson at 4 under par.
On a windy Friday at the Ocean Course, 41 players failed to break 80. Joost Luiten of the Netherlands wasn't able to finish his round. He returned Saturday and made a birdie on No. 18 to enter the third round at even par.
